So excited to share that Thread Seeker will be hosting an installation at Akela Space for the month of December 2020! 🥳

Our installation will be a little different than what we have envisioned in the past. As we are crafting a new experience with respect to all of the changes in how people interact with public spaces during the pandemic.

Our show will display some subtleties of textiles that got our passion sparked in the first place. We may seem to be just another clothing seller - but in reality we are collectors. Our journey is enabled by everyone that supports our brand by making a purchase.

Our true passion lies in textures and feelings of the textiles. The different origins of the different fabrics and the time periods that they come from. Also the setting in which some of these textiles are used.

As we find ourselves in the middle of winter, and in the middle of a phase in our lives where we have to cover ourselves to protect from the unknown - we are all very layered.

Our installation will be an experiment exploring the obscuring nature of layers - some of us are proud and loud under our clothes, and some of us use them to hide.

Just as winter enters the stage with blankets of snow, ice, and an atmosphere of chill - we adapt and change to cover our selves and protect from the elements. 🥸

As much as we would love to host another Pop Up in the way we have in days past, this one will be a little different. With limited square footage, we have limited capacity in our space. In the middle of winter, we do not want to ask people to stand outside on windy 5th Avenue and wait with traffic whipping by. We want this experience to be enjoyed and not rushed, as everyone shops and peruses at a different pace. To ensure an enjoyable experience for all of those interested we have decided to host appointment-based fittings.
